Few Christmas pictures

Few pictures of Christmas around here and a few of a most beautifully decorated home of a friend of mine who I most enjoyed a Christmas gathering of old friends.  Good to see many again and it's been so many years.  Nothing getting in the way of the joy the season brings.  Won't allow and haven't.

A distant view of grands play house they decorated.  Need pics of inside.  Olaf at the entrance

O.K.  now on to my friends home.  Gorgeous decorated mantle.  Dripping with lights around the Nativity.

Little sampling of goodies.

Every thing so neatly arranged and appetizing that is for sure.

Gorgeous Tree.  Looks like a soft feather tree but it is loaded with such pretty ribbon that it makes it look so soft like feathers.

Another beautifully decorated mantle.

Beautiful stockings lined up for guests and the twinkling of battery lights at the top of each one.  Never seen that done.   Lovingly decorated home and these stockings had much thought and love put into them too.   She really made things so nice for all of us.

Took in a few vintage shops yesterday and had a great time with my sister who came to visit and grand girls.

Will have to post more of my trees later. Happy pre Christmas Eve
Lynn had to leave at 5 o'clock this morning.  Wished she could have stayed but Maine was calling.

This is my living room tree and Lynn

Downstairs

Hope she got to nap on the plane.   Very tired

til next time

  2. Dearest Betsy,
LATE for wishing you a Merry Christmas but we had no Internet for 5 days... Only this morning by 8:00 Spectrum arrived and at 9:30 had reinstalled it.
What a weird Christmas, being amputated from the world; especially for being an immigrant...
But that too has passed by.
Lovely photos and sounds like wonderful gatherings with warm friends and your Sister coming to visit from Maine. It is almost a killing schedule such an early flight but that's what you do in the name of LOVE.
    Hugs,
    Mariette

    1. Never late wishing Merry Christmas. I wish you a Merry Christmas. Amputated from the world is so right. I am thinking, what did I do before internet? I used to talk more by phone or write letters. I am thinking if that is not the better way sometimes.
We did have a nice time being together and good conversation with laughter. No Covid talk. Done with that.
No sooner than my sister flew in, than she flew out again. We had a good time and got to visit Mama several times. lynn was delayed a day because of snow but that's o.k. she made it safe and sound.
      So glad for the visit.
Beautiful Christmas wishes and Happy New Year to you,
      Hug, Betsy
