Mom

Mom visited with us on the 28th of Christmas.   Had dinner and opened gifts .   She had a good time and probably had way to much ham,  she loved it.

Here are a few pics of that day.

Mom at 93 -  looks and does very well, she gets around better than most and doesn't have the bad knee like I do.

Miranda had to  work so we didn't get her picture,  but we see her in her sweet children.

You can see she got a hold of the snow too.    She knows how to have fun.

Christmas Day

Grand children arrive at our  house to open their gifts and have  dinner.    It was to quiet and we looked forward to them arriving.   I like paper torn from the packages scattered on the floor with laughter,  they had fun and made our Christmas Day.

Adalyn picked out for me a pretty Santa ornament and was so happy to give it to me.
She knows I love Santa s and this one has fur,  love it!

Miranda's Mom made us this beautiful rug made of knots ,  so soft and will be sitting beside my bed.
So very pretty, I love it.

My Aunt made these Santa napkin rings many years ago ,  nice to have a something that she crafted and a sweet memory of her.

real birds nest that was given to me by a co worker about 12 years ago, it's sitting on some dried branches I pulled from a bush in the yard.

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning  pictures  and a short video

First picture - my homemade rolls just out of the oven - turned out really well for me and tasted great.

the above Madonna and child picture is one I made from copies of several to give a more  3 d look.
I added glitter and trim

Above is a church I made years ago out of a milk carton and I printed onto some film a stained glass print,  when I put a light in it ,  the stained glass shows well.

A Christmas tree my son gave me several years back .  Plays music and the heat from the candles make the shiny metal tree spin

I didn't put out all of my village this year but like what is on display in the spare bedroom

outing for grands and decoration

Steve and I took a ride to Willow Lawn Friday to get a few gifts and get Duck Donuts for the kids.

Mistake was made with getting glazed ,  it was good for sure,  but it was also warm and very sticky.
Kids loved them.  Afterward they played on the lawn at the shops.  A good way to burn off some of the sugar they were definitely feeling.

I remember going here when I was very young with Mom and it was so cold here shopping  for Christmas,  always a frosty breeze blowing.  It's an open air shopping mall,  I do like this way of shopping much better.

Christmas decorations

Here are some pictures taken of my house decorations,  a few in living room and hallway.

I haven't turned lights on the tree for this picture and you can really see the tinsel.   Love tinsel, mom always put it on our trees growing up,  she used  to throw it at the tree.

This wreath is recycled garland that's about 10 years old wrapped around a coat hanger with added birds and pine cones from my yard.   I have been a little heavy handed with the spray snow this year.
