outside lites

A few more outside pics of the lights.

Santa on one side with reindeer in distance.

I glued the mag leaves onto a piece of narrow wood strip.  The idea came from a blog called
Old Town Home. com.    Her swags look so nice in her windows there.

Home pics

Following are shots from the outside the house.  I forgot to put out my sleigh on the front too.  Not as many decorations this year.   I still haven't posted my tree upstairs.  the one seen here is in the den.

the old truck, my sister gave to my son.  I have it under my tree and the grand girls pull it out and ride it .   The cow I bought at Through the Garden Gate - a local vintage shop here.   They love pulling that cow around too.

I didn't do anything fancy this year about decorating the garland or mantle.  Kids like seeing the Santa's.

I put swags on the bottom windows,  just looked like to many wreaths on the house when the bottom windows had them too.   I made them with magnolia leaves.

A nice toy shop in town.   My husband and I purchased gifts from here today.

Botanical Garden Christmas tour

This years theme for Lewis Ginter Garden - A legacy in lights is "120 years from Bicycle Club toBotanical Garden",  as stated on their web page.
We like to go every Christmas to see the display of lights and pretty displays made with recycled products and natural displays made with just about anything that can be found in nature.

The one below we passed on our walk is made from plastic bottles,  so very pretty.

some resemble lotus flowers

On our way to the home is this Christmas tree shape of many bikes

lights reflecting in the little pond below
I have many more shots to share later.
