Christmas pictures at home

I received a new camera from Steve at Christmas so most of these pictures are taken with it.   So happy to have a new camera.  I am sure the old one will turn up now that I don't need it any more.

I love the look of bells and the sound at Christmas.  I got that from Mama as she said silver bells is her favorite song.

Will have to put more color next year on the outside I think to show up

Two little creatures are stirring and they do not know that there is a third stirring.  He is a Christmas puppy.

A few shots of my tree upstairs that is new this year.   Not sure if I really like a flocked tree.   Never had one before , so this is first.

This is in my Entry way.   The tree plays Christmas carols , mom gave it to me about 10 years ago.

I have these carolers at the top of the steps.  A friend of mine gave these to me and the children like to see them as they make their way up the step.

Minnieland Academy where Adalyn attends preschool sang Christmas songs tonight for their family and friends.

Here the children are  coming in carrying wrapped gifts,  there is Adalyn carrying a wrapped gift to set under the tree before the sing along.

Science museum va christmas tree and rat

Opa took  Genevieve and Adalyn to the Science Museum one day last week and there was a huge Christmas tree this year at the entrance FINALLY. They had not been displaying the trees like they had been doing several years back.  I only imagine what the reason was but I asked every year where it was and I know others did too.   Any way nice to see a tree.

You can see it's a very large tree and the children were happy to see it.

Adalyn picked out the best seats at the museum to watch Rat Basket ball.   The gentleman throws the basket ball and the rat takes it to the hoop and pitches in.
Adalyn did not want to pet the last time, but definitely wanted to this time.

The grand children had a hand in the tree decorating.   They do it best.

See the large, or very large candy cane?   Genevieve insists they go on the tree, no matter how many times I take them off, so this is where they stay.

I saw something like these collages hanging in the Museum Fine Arts in Richmond a few years back.  I made some for myself ,  this styrofoam board and push pins , cut outs and jewels and most anything you want to put on there.

This is a christmas card collage I made from a card sent from my Brothers family.

Finished the front door.  So glad to be able to do so today.   I put over the sidelights ornaments.   This from inside.
